School in a Bag
This Rotary club is delighted to support School in a Bag - a charity that sends SchoolBags filled with educational resources to poor, orphan, vulnerable, disadvantaged and disaster affected children.
On 15 March, Luke Simon, founder of School in a Bag, spoke to the club and explained the motivation and rationale for this project. For many disadvantaged children, a fundamental limitation on their development is a lack of meaningful education. Often, schools are provided but there are no resources available to support learning, even simple things such as pencils and paper. By providing a school bag - a rucksac filled with tools for learning - this charity is able to improve the life outcomes for thousands of children.
The Club presented School in a Bag with a cheque for £1000 to support this project.
